Building on a Proud Past

The Mission District Specific Plan aims to build economic vitality in the historic Mission District. It incorporates the collective knowledge and vision of one of Southern California's most important historic areas, San Gabriel Mission District, the birthplace of the Los Angeles Region. 

Community members and district stakeholders were invited to participate in the process of developing the Specific Plan. This plan reflects the community-based concepts and design for the District that resulted from meaningful public involvement. It will serve as a tremendous revitalization tool that will mold the goals and objectives for the District.
